Churros

Churros are found in Mexico, as well as in many other Spanish speaking countries. They are almost like fried dough, but they are more crunchy and are coated with a delicious layer of cinnamon sugar. They are commonly eaten during breakfast with coffee or hot chocolate, or as a quick snack/dessert during the day or after Mexican's main meal, which is lunch. Churros are mainly found on the streets in flea markets  in Mexican towns and cities.  They are extremely quick and simple to make, and can be made right in your house! I personally enjoy them myself, and would highly recommend giving them a try if you are ever looking to a new unique dessert to make.

Flan
Flan is another simple, but very popular sweet in Mexico. Originating in Spain, it has become a very well-known dessert in Mexico. It is a sweet, custard like platter and is known as "the simpilar, the better." It can be made in many different ways. It is commonly eaten with coffee in the morning or after dinner, as a dessert, similar to churros. Mexicans tend to love this sweet because it is light, unfilling, and easily prepared. -Erin
